Giidjaa Hire hires forklifts from 2.5 tonne through to 18 tonne capacity, in diesel, LPG and petrol, electric and rough terrain configurations, plus stock pickers. Hire is long term and dry, with machines delivered to site.

Which forklift do you need for your site?

Start with the heaviest thing you will lift and where you will lift it. Diesel forklifts carry the widest capacity band, 2.5 tonne to 18 tonne, and are the default for yards, laydown areas and anywhere outdoors. LPG and petrol machines run 2.5 tonne to 7 tonne and suit mixed indoor and outdoor work where the doors stay open. Electric forklifts cover 2.5 tonne to 5 tonne and are the machine for enclosed warehouses and workshops, because there are no exhaust fumes to manage. Rough terrain forklifts, also 2.5 tonne to 5 tonne, are the ones to use on unsealed ground, gravel pads and construction sites where a standard machine will bog or bottom out.

Do you hire heavy capacity forklifts?

Yes. The heavy duty range covers 10 tonne to 18 tonne, which is the equipment, transformer, drum and steel handling end of the work. Machines that size need the right ground, the right access and the right lead time, so tell us the load, the lift height and the site conditions early and we will confirm what we can put on the ground and when. Lead times can apply on some models.

What about order picking and warehouse work?

Stock pickers are available for order picking and racking work where the operator goes up with the load rather than lifting from the floor. Scissor lifts and telehandlers are hired on the same account if the job also needs access equipment or reach at height, which saves running separate hires for the same warehouse.
