Vehicle & Equipment Hire Brisbane
Giidjaa Hire runs from a depot in Geebung, supplying mine spec vehicles, plant and access equipment on long-term dry hire across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
What can you hire in Brisbane?
Brisbane is where the full Giidjaa range sits, because it is our home depot. On the vehicle side that means mine spec utes, Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series, Hilux in Workmate, SR and SR5, and Ford Ranger XL and XLT, along with a prestige range for management vehicles and crew transport in 12-seat vans and 22-seat Coaster buses.
On the equipment side we hire generators from 6.6 kVA to 1100 kVA, scissor lifts, boom lifts and other elevated work platforms, telehandlers, forklifts, lighting towers, pumps, cable stands, winches, electrical test instruments and industrial dust collectors. Because it is one supplier and one account, a project that needs utes in week one and a telehandler in week six is not two hire relationships. Browse our vehicles and our equipment. Capacities and delivery areas for material handling are set out on our Brisbane telehandler hire page.
Where does Giidjaa deliver from Brisbane?
Geebung covers metropolitan Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast corridors, Ipswich and the wider South East Queensland region. The same depot reaches out to regional Queensland, including the Surat Basin gas project areas around Wellcamp, Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles, Roma and Wallumbilla, which is covered in more detail on our Toowoomba and Surat Basin page.
Vehicles leave the depot fitted, stickered and ready for induction, so nothing sits at your gate waiting on a fitout. Servicing and registration are managed across the hire.
How long is a typical Brisbane hire?
We are a long-term hire business rather than a day-rate counter, so a Brisbane hire is normally written to the length of the job. That suits project work, where a vehicle or a generator belongs to a site for months rather than being picked up and dropped back each week, and it means the commercial terms are settled once instead of renegotiated every time the program moves.
Hire-to-buy is available on selected vehicles and plant, which is worth asking about when an asset is likely to stay with the work permanently. Whichever structure you use, it is dry hire, so you supply the operator and we supply and maintain the asset. The difference between the two models is set out in our guide to wet hire versus dry hire.
