Who hires Giidjaa vehicles in Sydney?
Our Sydney work sits mostly with electrical and tunnelling contractors, which is a different profile to the resources work we do in Queensland. JTMEC run Giidjaa vehicles in Sydney, and the pattern across this market is the same: crews working inside live infrastructure, under access rules set by an asset owner rather than a mine site, where a vehicle that cannot be inducted is a vehicle that cannot leave the yard.
Because the sites are urban and the work is often nights and weekends, vehicles here tend to be hired for the duration of a package rather than swapped around. Hire is long-term dry hire to business clients, with hire-to-buy available on selected vehicles and plant.
What is available for Sydney projects?
Vehicles run from mine spec and infrastructure spec utes, Toyota Hilux, LandCruiser 70 Series and Ford Ranger, through to crew transport in 12-seat vans and 22-seat Coaster buses. Underground infrastructure spec is available where the work goes below ground.
On the equipment side, tunnelling and electrical work draws on a particular corner of the range: elevated work platforms from 8.89 m to 41.15 m working height, scissor lifts for confined indoor access, generators from 6.6 kVA to 1100 kVA, cable stands rated to 5,000 kg, winches, submersible dewatering pumps, industrial dust collectors for underground air quality, and fully calibrated electrical test instruments including VLF and tan delta sets. How does delivery work across metro and regional NSW?
We supply metropolitan Sydney and regional New South Wales, including the central west, where SRG Global run Giidjaa vehicles. Vehicles are fitted, stickered and delivered to you ready for induction, and servicing and registration are managed across the hire so the compliance side does not land back on your project team.
